Knife # 1 in AEB-L:
Named after a favorite Ram Jam song, this baby is affectionately called "Black Betty"! Blade steel is AEB-L stainless steel, hardened, cryoed, and tempered for a Rockwell C hardness of 63. Handle is black G10 with black micarta pins. Edge is 0.015" prior to sharpening, 10° back bevel with 15° micro bevel. This geometry will handle "bushcraft" work as well as fine slicing!

Knife # 2 in CPM-M4:
This is one of my custom hunter models in CPM M4. This steel is fantastic stuff. It is very wear resistant thanks to the carbides formed by the Tungsten, Vanadium, and Molybdenum, and is a great performer in the BladeSport cutting competitions. At 64HRC, it will cut and cut until the cows come home, and then some! The blade stock is only 0.076" for fine cutting. The handle is Walnut with good figure, a hand rubbed oil finish, secured with stainless steel pins, and sized to fit my hand (men's large) perfectly! Sharpened on diamond plates, 30° inclusive edge, finished with the EEF DiaSharp plate (3 micron). I didn't spend much time on the EEF plate, the edge is aggressive but refined. I can't stress how amazingly sharp this edge is right off the stones!
