Hunting season!!! For us in central Texas it's the first weekend in November!!! Now if we can just get it to cool off and actually feel like fall. It's hard to get into football/deer season when it's 90°F+. Do you have a brand new custom knife to christen with blood this year? If not, I can hook you up with exactly what you need!

This knife is made from a bar of Bill Burke's san mai steel. The core steel that makes up the cutting edge is Takefu V-Toku 2. If you are familiar with Hitachi Blue steel, then you have an idea of V-Toku 2. It is basically the same chemical composition as Blue 2, but instead of Japanese iron ore, Swedish iron ore is used. It is an excellent steel, fairly wear resistant with high edge stability. The jacket of the blade is made from 416 stainless steel, which will help mitigate rust and corrosion. The handle is beautiful mesquite wood with a hand rubbed finish of Watco Danish oil and TruOil, and a few coats of wax. All wood pores have been filled. Black G10 liners and stainless steel pins. Handle was designed for a large gloved hand. I love the sharpening session, and this one did not disappoint. It was surprising how long I needed to linger on a coarse diamond plate to set the edge bevel!!! DMT Diasharp from coarse to extra fine, finished with Spyderco Fine ceramic.

OAL: 8.875" (225.5mm)
Blade: 3.75" (95.25mm)
Handle: 5.125" (130.18mm)
Thickness: 0.115" (2.9mm)
Edge: approx 28° inclusive, 6 micron
