2 inch folder?

Good suggestion, but i would like something more mundane. With sheeple and whatnot attending most colleges

I like the Spyderco Dragonfly. The FRN handles give you a much better grip than the smooth finish of stainless steel and anodized aluminum in the Kershaw models.

The Mini Tuff Lite is quite mundane.
A utility style blade and a useful choil. I gave one to my dad to use at work (an engineering firm), and he likes it so much he just ordered a back-up.:)
It's also quite cheap, running about $20.
Useful blade shape, strong lock, okay steel, and a good grip.

in that case, spyderco all the way. if you want, you could get a ZDP 189 version, and then you could probably not have to worry about sharpening it.

for school? i dont know any school which allows students to carry knifes there. In fact if you bring a butter knife, you can get suspended for like a year I think in most schools...

I've got a Spyderco Ladybug on the way, and I can't wait to try it out. That said, my current EDC on my keychain is my Buck Bantam Nano. Good, solid lockback and made in U.S.A. TINY, also. Blade is only 1.8", black plastic scales. Very unintimidating and low-profile on a keychain.

I'm looking forward to getting the Ladybug and trying it out, but with those purple scales and "tactical" design... even at it's tiny size, I'm a little worried about the reacton she'll get from the sheeple you mentioned.

I wouldn't recommend the Bug or SAK. Personally, I hate blades that don't lock. I'm always worried they're gonna slip closed and cut my fingers.

I have a Spyderco Chicago on my keychain. its a great little knife. Very nice with the carbon fiber and S30V.

He's talking about college, and many public universities allow pocket knives.

Why a single bladed folder? Do you want something that locks? I ask because a SAK or a classic pen knife I think would be perfect if you want something people friendly.

While I was at college, i EDC'd a Benchmade grip, spyderco native (full serrated cause i worked in a home improvement store right after school), or a Kershaw Storm II! I never worried about size of the knife, or sheeple. Every once in a while someone would say something, but I almost always had a knife on me. You can never be to careful in college these days.

Georgia law allows knives under 2 inches in public schools. Some districts do limit this however.

I would recommend a Spyderco Cricket or Cat. A Spyderco Co-Pilot would be good if you can find one. A Boker Subcom might work as well. Another option in a Leatherman Micra or Squirt.

Would one of the small Opinels be an option? A SAK would also be a good option, they're quite sheeple friendly. A Victorinox Classic or Pocket Pal perhaps?
