2 Knife EDC setups....let's see them!

No disrespect towards non knife people was intended. My mother and mother in law are not always thrilled with my choices in knives but I would also never refer to or think of them as sheeple.

That is my point exactly...if it would not be ok to call your mother that why should it be ok to call others by that name? Any word that is used in a dismeaning fashion to describe others isn't what I like to think this forum stands for. I may be old fashioned ...dunno...

Some of Bullard's stuff does show up on the auction site, and some is in stock at his online store but yes, he is busy. I contacted him some time ago and he stated he isn't even accepting custom orders now...he is too backed up. I use pouches from AG Russell and other companies as well.

Seriously? is anybody really offended by the term sheeple, this is a knife forum after all. The people I refer to are the same ones trying to make it so you can't carry, buy or own one(gun or knife), the same one's that expell kids from school for drawing pictures of cowboys and indians because there are bows and arrows and guns in the picture. The same ones that throw paint on people wearing leather and fur. The same ones that want meat outlawed in schools. The same ones that want free thinkers removed from the airwaves be it tv or radio.

The thread topic is 2 knife edc setups and your reasons why. I am pretty sure my use of the term sheeple was appropriate for my original post. If you were so offended by my use of the term why didn't you just leave the thread instead of feeling the need to post for all to read how you found my post extremely rude and disgusting? I feel forums at their most basic level stand for freedom of speech, an open exchange of ideas and free thinking.

I am more than willing to drop this and get back to the premise of " Two Knife EDC setups...let's see them" and your reasons why and for the love of God nobody use the term sheeple.

To the moderator, it is not my intention to have a political, moral or ethical debate. I spoke my peace and I am done. I feel my wording was relevant to the topic and how I phrased my post. It would be disrespectful to you if I continued to debate this. I feel I was called out on something that warranted a response...over and done with. If you feel it best remove the thread if not I would still like to see people's pictures and hear their thoughts. Thanks

I normally carry one knife at a time. It's a spyderco endura wave or my little 2009 cripple creek punkin' seed over the past 5-6 months. One for work and one for leisure. I'll add some pictues later.

Endura is an awesome fully capable knife. I don't think I have seen the cripple creek when you get a chance post a pic I would like to see it.

Sorry - no pics but the last several days I've been carrying a Case cv swayback jack in LFP, a blue alox Vic farmer in RFP and a SE Spyderco Pacific in right back pocket.

Nice Mooremaker. Everytime I see one I feel like I might "need" one.

I talked to Mr. Moore personally and asked him to pick me out one. I had sent one back because the nail nick was too shallow and I couldn't open it.This knife has zero blade play, the blades line up to the springs when open, the color looks like it's natural, and the steel is turning a most pleasant gray/blue,and it snaps like a gator. It's getting some spots as to be expected for every day and 1095. I recommend them.

Does anyone have the queen version of this knife? 3 1/4. I would like to know about the f/f?

Hi SVRIDER1 -

I always have my Vic Waiter with me -

And then I also carry one of a number of one-handed opening folders. Most recently I have been carrying a Benchmade 890 that my wife bought for me to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

I almost always have the Vic Rally that Stomper gave me at the last Gathering too, as it has a small phillips that comes in handy, and that little knife will disaapear into the change pocket of a pair of jeans. I need a picture of that little guy.

best regards -

mqqn

Usually something like this. One smaller, non-threatening slippie along with a larger locking knife - just 'cuz.

This was one of my first slip joints when I started collecting
This one turned me on to Queen

#26 in delrin (Jigged Black Cherry) in D2
The F&F is excellent
The swedges are clean and sharp
Nice sound on the Walk and Talk

The Queen Amberbone and Maple are as good F&F

The Dan Burke has some rubbing!
The Canal in SS, is a clone of the Amberbone (must be same machinery!) but without the nice swedges! (sent the first one back, it was a disaster!)

I carry two knives.
My first is in pouch on my belt, a 3 1/4" or 3 1/2" stockman or a 3 1/2" jack or barlow
My second knife is a Tiny-Toothpick in my change purse

When I know I am going thru a security check (daily) where they will object to a knife, then I take the knife out of the pouch and leave it in my car and I still have a small blade on me.

I live in a society where people are not comfortable with knives.

I was on a canoeing trip with folk from work.
They needed some string cut.
I had a small 2" fixed blade, and pulled it out to cut the string.
They all know that I carry a knife, and it seem reasonable, since we were canoeing, to carry a fixed blade.

3 out of 8 made negative comments about the knife showing that they were uncomfortable
They were in their time a DI in an elite commando unit, a Captain in a tank squadron, and a senior sargent in a top infantry unit.
All combat tried.

These "sheeple" just don't like knives!

thanks neeman. one of these days I want to get the small queen in that new zebra wood.

For the last week it was a Northwoods Gunstock in D2, carried in a KSF Leather slipcase, and a Spyderco PPT.

That's interesting. I've seen many pictures where off-duty IDF soldiers are carrying their service rifles, including at bars and the beach. To think that the people there are afraid of knives shows that their fears are indeed irrational.

Go for it!
You won't be disappointed

Fears? LOL
Not these Boys.

Let's call it Cultural bias.......
Irrational...yes

Sorry no pic(I have to learn how to post them), anyway I always carry a SAK and usually a stockman slipjoint or a TL-29 type knife. If heading out to the woods it would be some type of fixed blade with a trapper or stockman.

I might have posted this before, but here are some of my light work/heavy work knife combos:
