Here is knife well suited for slicing as the edge is very thin. I think this knife could be used in the outdoors as well as the kitchen. The Handle scales are OD Linen Micarta contoured for grip with stainless hardware. The full tang blade is made of 1080 Plus that I got from Alpha Knife Supply. The steel is a step above 1084 and not quite 52100. Check out the steel composition on their site. In house heat treat with double 2 hour tempers at 400. Flats are acid etched and the bevel are belt finished 600 grit with some etch poking through in spots. Blade and handle waxed for rust protection. This knife is not made for batoning and or chopping down trees just a pure slicer. I am offering this knife without a sheath as a option. $90 shipped to your door without sheath and $125 with a black leather sheath. If you choose the sheath please allow time for it to be made. Thanks

.112" thick at the thumb ramp, blade is 4.5" handle is 4.5"

I will take the 1084, love the blade shape on the other though. Reminds me of the Temperance.
