Made a couple of firesteel handles. The giant (by my standards) antler handle is for my baby nephew, (6'9, 265 lbs.) it still needs a little smoothing and sealing, but he wants it pretty much as is. The second is a nice piece of gnarled cedar about brought back from deer camp a few years back.

Quick question about securing the steel to the handle - do you just use an epoxy glue to hold it in place? Or do you use something else?

Thanks

John

That's a nice chunk of cedar. I'm getting ready to give this a try also.

I use 2 ton devcon, and if you have any gaps later, a little shot of superglue. I finish the handles in Birchwood Casey Tru-Oil. (which I need to get to this weekend)
