I had seen a few of Brians bushcrafters around and really liked the way his handles looked. So I contacted him and asked if he would make me a flat ground version. Then I made the mistake of going to his website, and I really loved his Badger model, so ordered one of those too!
Here are a couple of Brians pics of the knives, he takes great pics
This shows the excellent contours of the handle
I was able to get out for some quick testing before it got dark, I just wanted to try out a few grips with these handles.
Using the bend cut, the bushy slid through like butta
This wasn't the best wood to get fuzzies, but it sliced up some super thin curls
The bushcrafter came with a JRE sheath, and Brian made a heavy duty, beeswax soaked sheath for the Badger
I only got about two hours of use, but I am extremely impressed with both of these knives. Brians fit and finish are excellent. Both knives came beyond razor sharp, and they have great blade geometry for slicing. The handles are in my top 10 as far as comfort goes. I'm glad I was able to get these so quickly, once word spreads, his wait times will skyrocket I'm sure.
