hey guys, how goes it... it's been a loooong, cold morning of soccer for both of my boys, and now it's pouring down rain... go figure...
i thought i would share a few pics, of some new blades i scored recently...
the first one i am really stoked on... it was made by Will Crump of www.crumpsforge.com i have wanted to check out some of Will's work for a long time now, his stuff has always caught my eye.. all of his blades definitely seem to have a real traditonal look to them..
this is his EDC model.. it's is a perfect little EDC/utility knife... i really like the wide drop point blade... it's a very seful design..
he had one similar to this for sale, in the makers section recently and i contacted him and asked if he could make me one just like it, but with different handle scales... here is the outcome....
here's some specs:
- 6.5 in. total.
- 3 in. O1 blade.
- 5/32 thick.
- 3.5 in. handle.
- osage orange scales.
- stainless pins and lanyard tube
Will also does some really nice leatherwork.. this one came with a nice pouch sheath... i am really impressed with it... it compliments the knife very well...
some in hand shots.. i have Med. sized paws... this knife fits them very well.. i love it..
the knife arrived with a really nice sharp edge... making fuzz sticks seem effortless...
now on to the next one... this one was made by our very own SDS.. it's a PSK/pocket knife.... it's a really slick little blade.. i like the design a lot... i need to make a sheath for it still(as with a few of my other blades)..
Shawn is a great guy to work with with.. he makes some really nice blades.. he has his own forum here on BF too.. go by and check it out...
some specs:
- 4 in. long.
- D2 steel.
- 2 in. blade.
- 5/32 thick.
- osage orange scales.
both knives are plenty stout at 5/32 thick... i love the different shades in color you get with osage, and it even gets darker with age...
nice palm size little blade...
despite being a 2 finger style knife, the round shape of the handle provides a nice solid grip..
thanks for looking folks...
