2 of my damascus sweeping S guard bowies

Do you use a foredom or is it shaped with small files? What inspired you to start doing handles like that?

Hey everyone, I have two new designs of a bowie knife I made for bladeshow west. I know these are very late. Mainly because I hate taking pictures haha.
Both knives are over 12" blades of ladder damascus.
I've really fallen in love with Big sweeping guards. Every time I design a knife it seems to have one.. they just look right to me. :)
Let me know what you guys think.
Here is my work...

First blade is 500 layer ladder pattern damascus with twist damascus beveled/filed/stippled guard. stainless steel spacers and stippled spacers. damascus spacer. carved walrus ivory handle

Incredible! Is the gap between the grip and the knucklebow large enough to accommodate one's fingers, though?

Thanks Zieg. Yes there is enough room. I’ve had many people handle the knife with very large hands and there is still more than enough room between their fingers and the guard to which their hand will never come into contact with the guard
