I love my CQC7 so much I bought a CQC10. This really is a sickness!But I really don't feel like getting better.

The 8 is real popular. I had mine for a week before I had to send it off, so didn't get a good chance to get a feel for it.

You're gonna love the 10... It was my first EKI, followed by a 7B! :D

The '10 was also my first EKI (and still my favorite)...followed by a Mini-Commander...followed by a '11...followed by a SARK...yeah, it's a sickness :D

Do any of you have recommendations for dealers who stock heavy?. I have bought here and there but want to buy from just a couple of dealers. I'm very impulsive,so if I have to wait,I go elsewhere.

Thanks for the shout! I will have to check them out for the 12 and many more to come.

I just recieved my CQC10 today. Real nice fit and finish, until I opened it.It didn't make that pronounced click like my CQC7,so I turned it over to look.I noticed the linerlock barely fits behind the blade, only about a third to a half of it does. Not a flush solid fit at all.Not like I will be jamming into a brick wall or anything, but it does make me nervous that it is not a solid lockup.

Could I disassemble the knife, and file the contact on the blade ever so slightly so I will get a more flush fit? Or should I make arrangements to send it back? When open I attempted to close it with some force, didn't budge. So,what does everyone think?

You shouldn't have to file it or send it back, it should wear in. Open it about 50 times (wave or wrist-flick) and it should slide over a bit. The more you use it, the smoother it will get.
-just my $.02, hope it helps.

Thanks abzack. I will give it a try.Kind of weird though. My cqc7 moved over flush right out of the box.So did my Kershaw.

1/3 of the way is correct, anything more than 1/2 way its getting out of adjustment FWIW.

if your '7 & kershaw went all the way to the other side when new thats not good, it has no room for any wear.

do not file on the liner thats not how ya adjust them.

Thanks SIFU1A. I probably should have clerified myself on that. The lock actually hangs off of the back of the lockup point of the blade,it does not make full flush contact with that point. The other knives make full contact but the contact is still far to the left side so nothing seems compromised.I was actually talking about adjusting the ground portion of the blade where the lock makes contact, but after everyones input,I think I will sit it out. Thanks again for the help. By the way,the lockup does feel solid on this knife,I was just worried about pressure on the blade causing slipping of the lock.

open the blade & lightly tap the blade against your palm/the floor/anything padded (scuffs) a few times if it doesnt slip its probably ok.
