#2 on its way!!!

This seems normal for the 10s ... mine was exactly like that. Play with it, flick it open a few times, wave it, it will move into solid position.
 
I've been opening and closing it,waving it etc. and it is coming around.It is very consistant waving the knife.I noticed some people have posted they thought the Emersons were inconsistant.I think both my 10 and my 7 work great.Thanks dr g.

For me it varies a bit with the particular pants pocket, but as long as I "do it like I mean it" it will always wave :cool:
 
Easy choice for me ... all my knives are users, I can't afford to collect, so for practical (wallet) reasons I won't be buying another Emerson in the forseeable future ;)
Actually that's what kind of led me to the CQC-10 in the first place, it seemed one of the most utilitarian and versatile. That and I prefer the thumb hole.
 
After about 200-300 open/closes,I pulled the CQC10 apart and wiped everything down with a high quality residue cleaner I use in my custom guns.I then oiled and reassembled the knife.Wow,it is super smooth.I agree with you on the choice of the CQC10 for EDC and real world use.It is the choice IMO for a one knife do all choice. I am trying to get all my knife buying in before we have our baby in March so I have been going nuts.Most of mine will be used except for a few customs and Exclusives.
