I am selling 2 of my custom Pohan Leu knives. All prices include shipping and Paypal fees. A link at the bottom contains several photos of the knives.

1) This is a modified Kwaiken as it was designed by another member and custom made by Pohan. There is only one of these knives around and Pohan will not be making another one. The following info is from the original owner / designer of the knife:

"This is a custom tanto that I designed myself on Autocad 13. The knife is basically new. It hasn't been carried. There are scratches from the kydex sheath, but that's normal wear. Anyway, I had Pohan Leu make it for me based on my specs. I took design cues from the late Phill Hartsfield, who is credited with bringing the tanto design to the US some decades ago in his a2 tool steel knives and swords. He's also credited with making the chisel grind main stream. Hartsfield was famous for making zero edges, that means there is only one primary grind leading to the edge, with no secondary bevel, resulting in some of the sharpest cutting instruments (or weapons if you want to call them that) possible. Hartsfield did make a few knives with V grinds that ended in zero edges. My knife design uses the V grind and also ends in a zero edge. The knife is ground on both sides, unlike a chisel grind. I always wanted a Hartsfield V ground tanto, but the prices easily go from 1000 to beyond that, even more now since Phill Sr passed away. Phil (one L) Jr still carries out his dad's tradition, and those knives still command a lot more than I could afford. Pohan Leu's work remains faithful to the lineage that Hartsfield Sr. left behind, but since he is not yet well known, he charges much less than Hartsfield did, something I am positive will change in the future. Leu did meet with Hartsfield Sr. on a few of occasions before his passing. I've even mentioned to him that he should be charging more for the quality work he does. More about the late Hartsfield here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phill_Hartsfield

I've been following Pohan Leu's work over the past few years because his knives are greatly influenced by the late Hartsfield. In 2011, I met Pohan Leu at the annual Bladeshow. I had seen his knives before on various online knife retailers, but the show was the first time I handled them in person. I came back on the last day of the Bladeshow with a print out of the knife I designed on Autocad 13. I had just commissioned my first custom (of my own design) one-off. He has not and will not make any more of my design. It is truly a 1 of 1.”

Specs are as follows:
-a2 steel hardened to 62.5 HRC
-3/16 inch thick blade stock
-7 inches overall length
-4.75 inch blade
-3.25 inch handle
-glass breaker pommel
-red stingray skin covered with resin impregnated cord wrap
-bronze dragon menuki

Price is $400 Shipped

2) This is a Kwaiken with a silver scorpion menuki on blue stingray skin covered with resin impregnated cord wrap. I received this knife directly from Pohan at the 2012 Blade Show.

Price is $225 Shipped

All of Pohan's knives sell out just as soon as they become available online. Don't miss your opportunity to own one of these very fine custom made knives. And if you're not familiar with Pohan's work, his knives are EXTREMELY sharp.

Photos of the knives can be seen by clicking on the link below. You can also search Pohan Leu online and learn more information. Bluephin Flipper is sold.

Thanks for looking!
