My annual fall fishing trip at the NC Outer Banks is coming up this weekend and bait is not cheap, so dropping the price on these 2 to move them out.
Here is a neat little bushcraft/utility knife made from 5/32" O-1 with camo G-10 scales, toxic green liners and a threaded pommel of toxic green and black G-10 with 1/8" micarta pins. Knife was heat treated by maker in a propane forge and triple tempered. The spine has been differentially tempered with a torch. The sheath is wet-formed and hot-waxed 8-9 oz. leather and has a front pouch that holds an Altoid Tin. On to the Pics. (specs and price below)
And here are the current contents of the Altoid's tin(shown for illustration purposes and NOT included)
This would make a good all around bushcraft or camp knife. The "coke bottle" contoured handle is comfortable in many grip positions with no hot spots. This knife will stand up to batoning (within reason, of course) and still has an edge fine enough for notching traps or kitchen prep. The sheath contains an Altoid tin for survival essentials. I've shown a fire steel, mini-light and fire starters and there is still room for a small fishing kit, bandaids, etc.
Steel: 5/32" O-1
OAL: 10"
Blade: 5" tip to scales (flat ground)
Scales: Camo G-10, toxic green liners
Pins: 1/8" Micarta
Sheath: 8-9 oz leather (wet-formed and hot waxed)
Extras: toxic green pommel, accessory pouch on sheath
Price: was $135 now $120shipped CONUS
NOTE: Altoid tin contents are shown for illustration purposes only and are NOT included with the knife.
I call this one my Zombie Back-up Blade. This is not your primary zombie killing blade; that would be a big chopper with a 10-12" blade. This blade is small enough to carry on your belt at all times so if you are away from the group, say answering the call of nature, and that one "Walker" sneaks up on you, you can dispatch him with your Zombie Back-up. This one is Aldo's 1084 about 3/16" thick at the spine with G10 scales and stainless hardware. Heat treat was by maker in a propane forge and triple tempered.
This one is about 60% forged and 40% stock removal. Edge quenched with visible quench line. Blade is hand sanded to 800 grit and etched in ferrric chloride.
Steel: Aldo's 1084, flat ground
OAL: 9 1/2"
Blade: 4 1/2" tip to scales
Scales: toxic green and black G10 over black G10 liners
Pins: 3 stainless pins of thick-wall 1/4" tubing and 1 thong tube
Sheath: distressed leather, died black and hot-waxed, 8-9 oz.
Extras: Tapered tang, forged finish on the flats.
Price: was $110 now $100 shipped CONUS
I usually take PayPal or USPS Money orders but on these 2 it will be PayPal only and CONUS shipping only. I need to move these before Saturday because I'll be out of computer contact for a week.
