Received an order from Super Grit that had a sample roll of 80 grit. Feels like the equivalent to a Y backing. I can see limited uses for something this rigid. Anyone use it and for what?

I use it for rough shaping handle corners. Moves material faster than a file, slower than the grinder. ETA: I was just out in the shop doing this and wanted to add, it's faster because you don't have to constantly card your file. Coarse files probably move more material per stroke. But when the 80 grit loads up I just chuck it and grab another strip.

My first thought was for softening an edge, similar to using a backing material on regular sandpaper.
