2 Rocksteads for sale - BOTH SOLD

Hello -
I have two Rocksteads for sale, which I am selling to finance a personal grail. Both of the Rocksteads are very smooth openers (with the Shin being unbelievably so), are very, very sharp and both blades have the extreme hardness that Rockstead is known for.

Shin-ZDP
The Shin ZDP is a 3.5 inch folder, with a hand polished ZDP189/VG10 clad mirror-finish drop point with a flowing convex (Rockstead'sHonzukuri) profile.

This was purchased from KnifeCenter in May 2018. It has been carried and used, but treated well (no hemp hacking or anything). I have honed the edge, as per Rockstead, with denim on board and Pikal Polish.

Because of the polish, these are difficult knives to photograph, so will describe faults as I can see them -

• The clip has a little wear on the edges, but less that the images show.
  
• There is a small chip in the anodizing where the clip touches the scale which doesn't show up at all in the images.
  
• The blade has some fine use marks that can be seen if you hold the blade at a certain angle in the right light. Otherwise, they are not really visible.

The serial number for the Shin is L549 and the knife has not been registered with Rockstead. It comes with box and papers per the images.

Higo-JH-DLC

The Higo DLC is a 3.5 inch folder, with a YXR7 drop point blade (coated in mirror finish DLC) shaped to a convex (Rockstead Honzukuri) profile.

This knife has been carried but only very lightly used on paper, soft fruit, etc. The blade still has factory edge (i.e. it has not been honed or sharpened).

Observed faults on the Higo -

• The clip has a bit of wear on the edges, but in reality, they sorta’ come that way.
  
• There is a very small chip in the anodizing under the lockup bar, but this doesn’t show in the images.
• The blade has no marks or faults that I can see.

The serial number is 823 and the knife has not been registered with Rockstead.
It also comes with box and papers as shown in the photos.
