2 Sambar Stag Hunters Dressed in Paul Long Leather

Hey Bobby, welcome to this side of the street. My Kelly knives will probably be next available if you are mentioned in my Last Will and Testament. I have three now and would like to add to that total.

Come back and post often.

Yeah, Dave, Hansonian quality crackle ivory in tri-color. Must be seducing you to get started and finish without stopping. Nonetheless, nothing quite indulges the sense of touch like the incised topography of quality stag. That you fit stag to ferrule without wholesale debarking is glorious and high tribute to your skills and attention to details.

Thanks very much you guys!!

Dan, hope you got my email last night.

You're right Ken, the ivory knife is seducing me to get started and not stop until it's finished, unfortunatly those working straight through days are long gone.
I just did a quick etch and polish on the blade to see if I was going to like the line. I always enjoy that part because you never really know what it'll look like, either you like it or back in the forge and try again.

Dave

I got to play with 2 of Dave's knives that Paul owns a few weeks ago and can say that his attention to fit, finish and detail are second to none. Now if I could just talk Paul out of 1 of his...;)

Bobby, I have the original knife of this series. (I think, you would have to check with Dave) That is the one that started Paul on his quest for the two knives you saw.

I tried to talk him out of the hunter(kinda) at BLADE. He almost threatened to use it on me. :D I've got a couplle of Dave's knives and need to get with him soon on another.

Best bang for the buck out there.

Yours was the first one Dwight, seems like a long time ago!, that's when I met Paul for the first time and he tried to pay me in Texas funny money.

Thanks very much you guys!
Dave

Started polishing the 6" mammoth knife blade, looks like I'll use it.....if the customer approves it.

If he doesn't like it he has an eye problem. I like it a lot. Can't wait to see the finished piece.

Awesome work...I am really starting to like stag...Paul mentioned a guy up north getting these....I have been going to my mailbox paul but they seem to not have arrived yet?? :)

Great looking knives and as always, you cannot go wrong with my Grad Daddy Paul Long's sheaths

He is one hell of a story teller and dancer BTW
