Recently, i got few pieces of really old burlap micarta and i wanted to see how it will look on the knife. Smallest piece was just the right size for these two blades, so i couldn't resist. Material looks beautiful, and it's real pity it's so hard to find.
So here they are:
Both are forged from 1/8" thick 15n20 flat bar.
They are forged down to less than 5/64" thickness to be a wicked little slicers
I've tried to forge them to fit in Skinner or Nessmuk like design, and i love the result.
Flats are left raw, wet forged and wire brushed after forging.
After heat treatment, flats are brushed with scotch brite.
Bevels are made in satin finish with scotch brite.
