#2 Survival Tool

I alternat 2 weeks with heavy weights in the gym...2 weks with body weight in the park always running or hiking on opposing days

Fit and skinny are mutually excusive.

When it comes to true survival fit with a few extra lbs is ideal.

Mother nature gave us a calorie bank for a reason. ;)

That said we aren't talking more than 10-15lbs extra.

Much depends on your climate and race as well, its not a simple answer.

Dont be so lean you MUST consume 800 calories every 4 hrs or your energy tanks.

yea i need to lose some weight fairly bad but i just dont know how or am that motivated im 14 going to be 15 in april and weigh 144lbs any one wanna help?

A Ewenit said so wisely, motivation does indeed come from within. You definitely have to want it. However, maybe some outside influence will help to fuel that motivation, such as a girl you want to look good for.

Start walking, stay with it. Eventually, you'll be running. (literally or figuratively)

It's also easy for me to give you advice while I lay back in my recliner every night like a beached whale. Apparently, you're not the only one who needs to motivate themselves.

Good luck...

Glenn

i know this is more about being fit but aside from your mind, I think your number 2 tool are your hands. Think of all the things you wouldn't be able to do if you had no hands/broke fingers etc.
