2 knives for sale. The first is one of my custom hunter models in CPM M4. This steel is fantastic stuff. It is very wear resistant thanks to the carbides formed by the Tungsten, Vanadium, and Molybdenum, and is a great performer in the BladeSport cutting competitions. At 64HRC, it will cut and cut until the cows come home, and then some! The blade stock is only 0.076" for fine cutting. The handle is Walnut with good figure, a hand rubbed oil finish, and secured with stainless steel pins. Sharpened on diamond plates, 30° inclusive edge, finished with the EEF DiaSharp plate (3 micron). I didn't spend much time on the EEF plate, the edge is aggressive but refined.

OAL: 8.5"
Blade: 3.75"
Handle: 4.75"
Thickness: 0.076", tapered to tip
Steel: CPM M4 @ 64HRC
Edge: 30° inclusive (15° per side), EEF DiaSharp

The 2nd knife up for grabs is one of my favorite EDC styles. Sort of a Wharncliffe blade tip proflie, very handy for all sorts of daily cutting chores. The steel is A-2 tool steel, but not your ever day run of the mill A-2. I was told by the rep where I bought the stuff that this is ESR (electro slag remelt) steel. ESR is a refining process that makes the steel very very clean and pure. It was a pleasure to cut, sand, and heat treat. After quenching in oil (A-2 and D-2 are often oil quenched), and to ensure a good complete martensite transformation, the knife took a bath in sub-zero dry ice/alcohol slurry. After tempering, the final Rockwell hardness is 62. The handle is a new wood for me, Surinam Ironwood. If you're like me and wondering where Surinam (Suriname) is located, it's in South America close to Brazil and Guyana, NE coast. The wood was a pleasure to work with and finish. Stainless steel pins and epoxy secure the handle in place. This is an extremely thin and light knife, not something you'll be using for tree toppling! Along with the spine being thin (1/16"), the grind is very thin as well, 0.005" before sharpening, and measurement at the plunge line as it meets the choil/heel is 0.015"!!! Sharpened with 1000 grit Shapton and then the Spyderco Fine ceramic. Hair popping sharp!

OAL: 7.75"
Blade: 3.5"
Handle: 4.25"
Thickness: 0.060"
Steel: ESR A-2 @ 62HRC
Edge: ~32° inclusive (16° per side), Fine Spyderco Ceramic

I knew that thing wouldn't last the night. Looks like it could make easy work of any bartending task. Really nice knife for my purposes.
