I've noticed that the Mach 1 and Sofck use 4 screws going through the scales/liners into the opposite liner. The Commander and Specwars use the old Emerson system of multiple internal screws holding the liners to the spacer and various screws holding the scales to the liners. Has anyone compared both methods? Is one stronger than the other? From a distance it looks like you might have trouble getting a nice flush fit of the scales to the liners (gaps between them) on the Mach 1. Is Emerson Knives going to use this new method of handle construction on all new knives from now on?
