Here are 2 blacksmith/colonial type knives. When making them I had the renaissance reenactor in mind, but would also serve well as a great desk knife/letter opener.
Both are fully heat treated. They are made from old masonry star chisels. I gennerally only use new materials for my work these days, but really enjoy making these so still use the old hex and octagon tool steel stock for these type knives.
The have as shown a high polish finish on the blade, with the oiled fire scale finish on the handles. They seem to harden up really well, and are great lil cutters.
The knives are shown with a handsewn rawhide pouch. Dyed with brown walnut dye that I made myself as well. If a more efficient sheath is desired that can be worked out.
they are both approximately 8 7/8'' over all with a 3 3/8'' cutting edge.
Price is $95 each shipping and paypal fees included
thanks for looking
