2 Unique Bucks - 303 & 503 and leather knife slip

Hello all,

For sale today are two somewhat unique Buck knives.

First is a discontinued 303 Cadet with Charcoal Dymondwood scales from 2008.

Second is a 503 from 1987 with a brand new blade. To me this is the best of both worlds - brand new 420HC blade on stainless steel frame (as opposed to nickel silver).

Both knives are in excellent, unused condition. No boxes for either.

Also included is a brown leather Buck pocket slip which will accept either knife.

What is the story behind it/ how do you know it is from 1987?

I bought it from the guy who sent it in to Buck for a blade replacement. The original blade had a 1987 date code but had been sharpened down to nothing.
