2 worn down Benchmades

Looks like a lot of sharpening on power equipment removing a lot more metal than was needed.
 
Looks like somebody with a lot of money & very little sense has been watching way too many prison shows & decided it would be cool to make a benchmade shank...
 
Looks like every slippie my GrandPa kept his entire life! I was lucky he gifted me an untouched John Primble 40+ years a go.
 
These would give me mixed feelings. I would be sad to see these in such a degraded state, but would be made happy at the prospect of having to buy a couple of new knives to replace them.

Reminds me that nothing lasts forever.
 
OK, the top one looks like if you knew what you were doing...not that hard at all, you could just put it on a belt grinder and do a full spine to edge grind and it would be sharp again. On the downside you would no longer have the benchmade butter flyer logo.
Benchmade posted these 2 on their Facebook page. The Griptilian looks like it was sharpened on a belt grinder with a very coarse grit :eek:
