Dagger x 2 ......... Loveless x 2 ............ Wilkerson x 2

I like engraved knives and have taken a liking to [some of] the work of Dan Wilkerson. A little background; Wilkerson made his living engraving high-quality knives, he also did painting, drawing and sculpture. He did quite a few Loveless knives. Wilkerson was largely self-taught, he suffered from bipolar disorder and depression. His artwork often had a dark quality — with images of gruesome creatures, skulls and

such. I think some of his work was wonderful and some I do not like at all, unusual for me as I normally either like or dislike an artists work, rarely are my impressions so strong either way based on the individual piece. Wilkerson died in 2003 at age 41.

I was recently able to put these two pieces together and though others might enjoy seeing them together also.

I like both those knives very much. Thank you for sharing them with us.

Mark, great knives. I have always been of fan of Dan Wilkerson's work myself, but have always been drawn to his demons, his oriental-style motiffs.

Those are both exquisite. I also have admired a lot of engraving i'd seen by Mr. Wilkerson. I had known he had died but nothing more than that. Sad he died so young.

He did great work and I would say he succeded in increasing the beauty of two beautiful knives!

Thanks for posting them.

A fine pair. You don't often see the DN logo in that configuration.

I didn't realize he died so young.
