2 Years and still waiting.... Pass Around Bowie

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! I live in gator central and I cannot find a piece of a gator skin any where! I did find one gator farm that sells the whole hide but that is way outa my price range. Anyone have an idea where I might buy a piece of a hide?? Thanks! No, I aint headin out into the swamps to peel a gator's butt. Thats illegal and flat out dangerous! :D
 
I saw some gator skin on one of the tables at the BAKCA show last month. I'll see if I can find a business card somewhere. They also had bullfrog skin.
 
Try Ebay. I buy my eel skin there in the ladies purse section. You may try the luggage section too. Works for me. Also your local Salvation Army thrift store has ladies hand-bags in all sorts of exotic skins.
 
I have found gator skin in the way of purses at thritf stores
the only thing they were so dried out I could
not use them. ($1.00ea) Just my $.02

How about taking a picture of the knife so we can all see what it looks like when you are done with it, I would like to take a look even if it is not done.

I will take a piture and post it for you guys.The Ivory is now drying after going through the stabilizer.I hope that it will work out.If not I will just use some of mine that I have on it if that is OK with everyone else...
