20+" Gelbu Special by Bura. Pix. Save $50.

And call them George?

Maybe that ought to be the name of this GS, when it arrives. I'll see if it likes it.

It's true -- Jim and I are sane, and the rest of you are crazy -- and the reason is we have more knives than you do. When you have acquired as many knives as we have, you will be as sane as we are.

MMWWWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

He's no fun - he fell right over..........

Doc, in the past you've stated your liking
for the Sirupati style Khukuris. After you
get a chance to give that shinny, new GS of
yours a good tryout, I would be interested in
hearing your observations and comparisons.

Unfortunately, not much bushwhackin' to do in Baltimore, and I'm in the hospital so harumphing much I wouldn't have much time.

'Round July my load will probably lighten some, so maybe by then I'll get a chance to put 'em through their paces. And eventually I'll wend my way back down home, and feed 'em both a little pine for lunch and see how they like it.

I'll be sure to post impressions when I can.

Watch out for BATF agents Jim, they don't like people holing up in caves with pointy things any more than they like things that go bang

So, it's all just accidental that they plan to pour the foundation for the new Federal Building right over the cave's one entrance/exit?

You know, there could be an upside to that.

It would create sort of a "time capsule". Future generations could study the effects of HIKV through forensics and careful interpretation of the artifacts (khukuris)
entombed.......encapsulated at the dig site.

Jim probably still has time to arrange a properly magnificent burial. There are some excellent models in Egypt, Northern Europe, and South America. I wish him the best of luck in this.

Good thought, Finn, but naaahhh - he'd just wait a couple of days (or nigts) until the 'dozers got quiet and tunnel out. With his "research fervor" and all the steel he has available, that place would be a quarry in a matter of hours ;0

Finn, I can see this becoming a world famous site where Saint JIm, patron saint of HIKV, will be revered worldwide

Harry

Yea Harry, definately shrine material-

and who wouldn't be proud to have a great edifice of the Federal Government as a funerary monument?

We should probably start on the "Legends, Mythology, and Greatness" part now. I expect it's going to take a pretty good while to attach much status to it, but in a few hundred years - who knows?

Lessee.... A huge granite edifice, with lighted fountain in front, surounded by an arch of huge Khukuris (stainless steel), tips touching above the waters, on a base of marble letters "JIC FEDERAL RESEARCH CENTER and SANITARIUM"...
Gee. That gots class!!
