This will be my sixth journey to Nepal. Each time I went the Kathmandu Valley had gotten worse but outside the valley Nepal stayed the same. I expect smog, overcrowdedness, filth, lack of facilities and utilites, and the ever present government ineptness and corruption -- this in Kathmandu and the Valley -- but outside it will still be the same beautiful, friendly, pleasant, enchanting Himalayan countryside.
