20" or 26" hatchet/axe, what do you prefer?

Alright, here's what I ended up with. It's an Ardex head, $3.00 off ebay. Handle ended up 18" after assembly $5.00 off ebay. Kydex sheath made by me. Total investment with shipping $19.50. It weighs 2lbs. 2oz with sheath and chops great. I'm a happy camper .
BTW if anyone knows anything about Ardex axes please share.

For me 20 or 26" would hugely be overkill for backpacking unless I was just going to be hiking in and staying in the same place.

Most 20" models are around 2 lbs.

Thanks Vec, I'm much happier with something that I put together myself than the other one I paid $60 for. The sheath was my first axe sheath and I have to admit it's very sweet. I love the way it snaps on with a "clack".

Do any of you have any experience with Gransfors Bruks Hunters axe? I know it is similar to the small forest axe, Any big differences as far as chopping or general use? I can get a good price on the Hunters but not the Forest axe.

I have one.
