I just got this in the mail today and I didn't find any reference to it in the 2001 BCCI newsletters. Here's the weird part (at least to me). I just noticed that the blade has the 2004 date stamp, so I went to the 2004 newsletters and sure enough, it's shown there as the 2004 Members Only Knife.

Nice score that day Dave!

I am glad that your pics are alot better than the sellers! Nice knives!!! I love that handle material!!!!!!

That is weird about the 2001 in the gold banner etch though....??? It is a 2004 knife...

Anyone have any guesses? What member number is engraved on the back???

Now that's interesting too. I went back and looked at the newsletter where they are shown and it says they were engraved with the members number. This one has no number on it though.

Great looking knife and photos Dave . You guys are getting sooo good at that . What a mystery . Was the handle material of that model Impala or routed Buffalo horn ? DM

Thanks David,I'm learning a little about taking the pictures, but I still don't do as good as 300.

The newsletter says it's Asian Water Buffalo.

Thats a beeee yutey Plum, that in itself is reason to join the BCCI:thumbup:

Thanks fritz, I believe that it was probably a left over that didn't sell that year and was bought later. I bought some left overs from years before I was a member and they did have my number put on them, but I don't think you have to.

Or perhaps a prototype for that BCCI series?

Anyone else have that BCCI 2004 issued knife? As Jim pointed out above, that incorrect year on the banner may make this an error or factory second knife and that would explain why no number on the blade. Anyway interesting knife.

This is so odd about all the different numbers on the same club knife ?? Larry or Joe, explained the process to me at one time . The gold etching is put on the total number of blades offered . Then as the orders come in, a blade is pulled, member number etched on the back and fitted to a handle, polished and sent . ITE, did the one you found have a member number ecthed on the blade ? DM

Yes it does, David. Here's the picture of the back of the blade of the knife in ITE's auction.
