2001 BCCI Alpha Folder

Armand's knife is correct for the 2004 BCCI knife. Dave's knife is incorrect, wrong issue year, wrong issue amount, and no member # on back of knife. Dave's is an error or prototype for the run.

I went back to the 2001 newsletters to look at the blade etch for the 2001 Members only knife to see if it was like the one on the Alpha, and guess what. There wasn't any in any newsletter for 2001. I thought maybe they messed up on a few of the 2004's and used the etch from an earlier year.

I think you hit the nail on the head Dave! Looks like they used the etch art work for the 2001 club knife.

I just sent Joe an e-mail containing a link to this thread in hopes that he will have some input as to how this came about and maybe how many were made like this one.

I dunno....

It looks like it is the correct etch for the 2001 model 500 Duke. My guess is that they were looking to make a photo sample in a hurry and grabbed that artwork for the 2004 Alpha. The lack of member number on the knife supports that story.
I am pretty sure that in 2001 the order form was a separate sheet of paper in the newsletter. You filled it out and sent it in.
