2004 Consumer Catalogs Arrived Today

I received my 2004 catalog this morning, and there's alot of NICE new Spydie knives and things in there.:).

Thank-You Joyce, for getting the catalog to me so quickly.:).

marty, although I agree that the Spydie website should be updated, why put the catalog on the website when all you need to do is email Joyce for you to get one(or two) for FREE?

I think that Spyderco would much rather spend their money elsewhere, like their free catalogs for anyone who may ask. ;)

I received my copy last Saturday, along with two inserts for the Maddox (FB10). I had not really looked at this item before, but that is one truly clever device. I can think of all kinds of uses for it besides the ones for which it was initially intended. Even for the healthy among us, I should think that it would make a great tool for chopping nuts in, say, a cup. Or for cutting pizzas and/or any other type of pie. Just keep picturing it and the list is almost endless. That is a neat idea, Mssers. Maddox and Glesser. (Where is the smiley for someone tipping a hat? :) )

Got mine today, thanks!

I think the glossary in the back is new. I learned that Boltaron is a recycled ABS/acrylic PVS extruded alloy sheet material...:)

The last time I got a Spydie catalog (last year) I bought very shortly thereafter, a Police SE. I requested two other catalogs from manufacturers (who will remain anonymous) and recieved nothing. Therefore I purchased nothing. Spyderco's friendly even generous customer service has won them a loyal following and I am happy to be a Spyderfan.:)

I don't have it with me at the moment, so I may not have the wording exactly correct, but I have a question about the catalog:

In the description of the ATR, it says something like "lock rated for heavy duty." This means "heavy duty" in the generic sense, right? Not the heavy or hard use rating one notch down from MBC in Spyderco's lock rating system?

Thanks!:)
