2004 Midwest Khuk Khonvention???

This is starting to really sound like a good time.

I'll be at the Blade Show and maybe a week or so before the show, we should post a thread seeing who is going.

That's the other reason I don't want to wait until June or July for a Khonvention - $$$ - too many trips/vacation/time off/etc. all at once...

I'm not inclined to drive to GA fer a big knife show and khuk khonv, I was thinkin more exclusive of a gathering. And, knife carry laws in OH are pretty lax, even compared to Indiana.

I guess we'll jest keep adding tentative attendees until we come up with a good location for all.
 
I'll be at Blade this year. I'd like to hook up with you Dan. Put me down as a possible in Ohio or Indiana--depends on the weekend.

If it was scheduled at a time I could come, I would be willing to bring some of my equipment to let folks dink around with their khukuris...maybe have a workshop or two...

Perhaps one or two might even come out sharpened...

In another thread, Ray (Nasty) offered to help arrange for a place to meet in Ohio as well as a spot to set up equipment, etc. Sounds like a deal to me!


Let's not drop the ball on this one - could turn out to be a really great time.

I'm going to see if I can persuade Rene to come down too...
 
Maybe we could persuade Keith (Ferrous Wheel) to do a workshop on etching...:cool:

We could pool together some $$$ - enough to buy supplies for everyone to use, have some good eats, etc. - probably wouldn't be more than $20.
 
I'll go one further...I'll make up some sort of "appropriate" plaque for best collection displayed! The only catch of course, is that I get to be the judge...:D

All I need is a date...and I think that ought to be developed based on the "presenters" choice. Dan & Keith...since you two would be the main guys "putting on a show", why don't you two pick two dates you can agree on...then the people on the attending list can choose by simple majority between those two dates.
 
Man, I'd live to be able to attend this...
OH or Indiana is just to darn far of a drive from upstate NY...:(

Why, I wouldn't even be surprised to see some swapping, trading and selling going on...heck, maybe, if we get enough folks to attend, Uncle Bill would like to send a box'o blems to pass on to the masses?

Oh...just for you, I could make sure there is some *WOOD* to chop on too! :D

There aren't many forumites in Phoenix but Dave K and I always meet up when Barb and I manage to get out there for a visit.:)
Next time there can be three of us it appears.:D

Ray, if possible, email me with an address somewhere near you think this may be so I can get a rough estimate of driving time...:confused:
I get every other Friday off from work...if it falls on one of those
days It may be possible...

Blade show '04 is in Atlanta this year?
 
Hmm...I'll have to see if my TDY schedule will put me at WR AFB that week!

I'll be at WR in Georgia this week...any Knutz near there?
