Hey guys,

I'd like to perhaps consider goin' to the 2005 blade show. Do you guys know when it will be?

Thanks a bunch!

-D

Just start planning for the 2006 Bladeshow now - and start putting money away for it. Make sure you have tickets. If it's in Vegas next year I might have to drive down myself. 370 miles? Something like that.

Vegas eh?

That would be a cheaper flight!

Anyone else regulars at the Blade show?

This year is here in Atlanta, from 6/3/2005 to 6/5/2005. I will be there again this year. I hope that we can have another get together if others are going. Look forward to seeing everyone. I hope to have some knives this time to show off like Dan did last year.

I'll be there this year. Had to miss it last year because my brother had his high school graduation the same weekend. :( No conflicts this year though. :)

I hope to attend, but not definite yet. Last year was my first time and it was great.

Check out the Sheraton across the Convention center. A short walk and lot cheaper than the Renaissance - but still excellent. A lot of the Busse/Swamp Rat crew and other mfgs stayed there.

I think there is the huge Blade in Atlanta every year as well as the Blade Show West every year but I could be mistaken.

Well, I guess everybody's got to be somewhere or another.

The Blade show occurs every year in Atlanta in Junish. Blade West was held in Ontario, CA the last 2 years in Sept.

Blade - Atlanta --> Probably the biggest and best in the U.S.

Blade West --> You won't miss much. I did last September's show in 2 hours and I walked around several times. A lot of knifemakers from east of the Mississippi and north of Sacramento don't attend. Rob Simonich, when he was still around in 2003, told me California was too weird for him. Of course, many others feel the same way. Can't blame them. So if you want to see many of the best, go to Atlanta.

Well, I'm excited. Always wanted to meet the good folks at Albion.

Knife show good. steak dinner. nife, drink, meat, fire, gud.

Well, if you see one or-ee-en-tal guy running around, wide eyed and hyper that would be me.

The absolutely TERRIFIED girl next to him would be my wife.

The success of the Blade show is two-fold: It's backed (and advertised) by Blade magazine, and it has a very tight relationship with the ABS (not Rusty's ABS....:D).

I will be there this year and for the first time will be on the "other side of the table." ;)

Hope to see a bunch of y'all there. I know a few others who are hoping to join in with us for a Friday Night Dinner like last year.

The Blade Show is in Atlanta at the Cobbs Galleria - near the intersection of I-75 and I-285 (give you a rough idea).

It is an amazing show. I get goosebumps and butterflies just sitting here thinking about it.

Heckuva good time.

All right Dan! Congratulations, I can't wait to see your blades again. Hope to see Dave, Mark, and hopefully a few more of you there, hopefully we can do a dinner like last year (the one I missed that is ;) )

According to mapquest it's only 14 hours and 44 minutes to drive it, or about 900 miles... piece of cake...

Now, if I can get the time off...

Hmm, wedding in NJ on Memorial Day weekend, driving back to Texas after that... <wheels turning>

shappa said he was in so we may have a great get together. We may need a bigger table. I will see if I can't find us a better place to eat this year. Don't anyone worry, no matter how big the table is no one will have a hard time hearing Lion's Roar...man the mouth on that guy. ;) :p :D
