2005 Special edition, which steel?

I was offered a SOG bowie saying "2005 - special edition" on the blade. Which type of steel is this, still SK-5 or AUS-8 already?

I can't remember when that switch was made. Any way you can provide some more information on it? Maybe a picture? The SK-5 models were made in Japan while the AUS-8 models are made in Taiwan. So if you can find the marking for country of origin that will help determine the steel that is used in the knife.

Oh, and I would have thought the company keeps record of its special editions. Anyway, I will check for the place of production. Thanks.

same comment as Chris, more info would really be helpful. From my own searches, 2005 was a transition year of sorts from the original SOG S1 Bowie to the SOG Tech Bowie .....
