2006 CRKT Catalog

Spyderjon - I brought up this point last earlier this year. I wrote the Pres of CRKT and after a couple of emails received a response. I was told that there were NO markings on ANY of the Models that were being downgraded - not on the Box nor the blade. I asked this specifically so that someone could tell the better steel from the new inferior steel.

I still remember when you could get 50 lbs of Dog Food, now is 45 lbs of the same great product for the same great price! :jerkit:

That's unfortunate. I was equally disappointed that Brian Tighe and Koji Hara chose to go with CRKT for a collaboration. The Koji knife from them is a JOKE, and the Tighe isn't much better. I wanted a Marzitelli Prowler, though I never got around to getting one; and have one CRKT knife on its way to me that I won. I'll probably keep it because it was a gift, but I sure won't be thinking about buying CRKT knives anymore. Sad, too, as they were REALLY on top of the game for a while and headed in a good direction.

No, I think I'd rather go with Kershaw at this point- especially given some of the collaborations they have planned in the near future!!! One I can't say, but we've already had confirmation that they're looking at getting a Junkyard Dawg collaboration going. Hopefully, it'll be using the 3D technology, or at least be as good as the Ti Bumps. Can't WAIT!!!

**ETA: I hadn't really thought about the concept of "take-away" until it was mentioned by a custom maker I know. If one gets lower quality parts, one should pay a lesser price.
