That’s it! (So far)

I'll be there.

Is this show directed more at "classic" knives? I see a lot of collectible, Buck, and Case on that list.

I'm looking to see some things first hand from makers such as Benchmade and Spyderco. Will some dealers be selling items like that as well?

That new Rock Financial building is very nice, I'm looking forward to it.

Hi TFin04, yes you will absolutely find a good supply of Spyderco, Benchmade, CRKT, Microtech and a like.

See you there,
Tom

Hey GUys..

TMAC..

Once Again, thanks for taking the time to post this, as you always do each year at this time.. You are Great PR for the show...

My son and I will be attending again this year...

Hey,,and guess what,, it falls on my birthday..:)
No cake please I'm a diabetic..:)

Thanks Tom..
Look forward in seeing you there again this year...

Eric...

Eric!! Good to hear from you man! I'll be looking forward to seeing you and your son at the show. I'm actually shocked, after all these years it is actually somebodies birthday, we don't have to make it up. I'm sure Bud will be glad to hear that. I'll make sure to bring the proper birthday hat for you to wear around. Don't worry that some say it looks like a bra, it's just some strange American custom, nobody will take notice, really. I'll make sure you're dietary needs are respected. Birthday candles in pizza are really quite popular these days. And I'm sure Sastre will sing happy birthday to you in a sultry Marilyn Monre style voice (that gives me shivers). See what you can do to get Diotte past the border patrol.

Take care,
Tom

Tom,

Think he mentioned his birthday last year - it's just a Canuk ploy for free beer!!

WOW!! That looks like an awesome show!! I wish i was near there so I could go!

HOT DIGITY! Can't wait. I've been to 2 shows this year at the Rock Financial Showplace and it is waaaaay nicer than the old Novi expo center. The twofer show is a definite plus! It will be good for all the knife makers to have all these gun guys wandering through looking at knives. and vice versa.

I hope this continues. We can make this show really grow and attract more makers and sellers from outside the region. We really only have 2 dedicated knife shows in Michigan, (Both put on by Wolverine) For the most part the knife sellers at the gun and knife shows sell mostly low end imported stuff. I know of only a a few sellers selling high quality stuff and 2 or 3 custom makers or custom dealers that frequent the gun and knife shows.

It would be cool if we could attract machinery companies that make things like Belt grinders, mills, drill presses bandsaws, lathes, etc. and havce a portion of the show where they could demonstrate their products Perhaps even plastics and metal distributors and wholesalers.

Actually Boston is only a 16 hour train ride, (on the most uncomfortable seats in the world),to Detroit. But it only cost about $120 round trip. You can carry on your knives and don't have to take off your shoes.

I will definitely be there!

TKC - let me know if you decide to come to Detroit for the show!

Back up to the top for April. Few more weeks.

Where are the rest of you that are going?

See ya,
Tom

Hey Tmac...

Unfortunately I don't think I'm going to be able to make it....

Betwwen going to Knob Creek a couple weeks ago and a bugger up on my part on Turkey Hunting dates, which I thought started last week, however started today,, it doesn't look like I'm going to make the show...

Was really looking forward to it!!!

I hear this real faint gobble in the distance and it's calling me.. I gotta go find that bird.. :)

Have a Great show boys and girls.. I'll be thinking about you as I scratch away on my slate...

Eric....

Too bad, Eric, was looking forward to more harrassment - pick a direction. At least we hooked up at Knob Creek. How'd the pictures turn out?

Tom,

Will get up there Thursday shortly before/after "traffic zoo". Let me know if you want to get together - I'm at the Windham. WKCC Show in Novi is one of the best regional shows around. Will have some Bowie/Southern Comfort "specials" going on for this show only.
