Long ways from Denver. I'm actually closer to Albuquerque. We try to avoid the whole front range, C. Springs to Wyoming border---too many people, too much traffic. Our demographics here in Alamosa is closer to New Mexico, geographically, socio-economic, even the weather patterns. I don't do well when the elevation is less then 7000 feet. Too much oxygen in the air.

Sounds nice! An ol' timer (mountain man) told me one time. Boy, I get altitude sickness... any time I'm below 1,000 feet 'course that's here on the East coast, and probably near the city/metro areas.
