2008 CRKT catalog

Bought my Colt 6401 for myself (who knows better than yourself what you want for your birthday) a few yrs. back from a counter display at a lumber yard. Has been a great work knife, takes a good edge, and I hardly know it's in my pocket. I don't remember the price other than it was very affordable (the lumberyard gave me a discount being my birthday). Has been good to my pocket! Dale H.

I can't see why a lot of people seem down on CRKT as well. I have about 9 CRKT's and no problems with them. Blades can be sharpened razor sharp. The only one problem I have is on one of my M16 zytel handles the pocket clip comes loose every now and then.

Just a thought. Not that CRKT is new on the market, however, maybe we're expecting some sort of instant success. While the Co. has been around long enough to improve on their product, and they have, sometimes success takes a few twists and turns making it longer to get there. Hopefully longevity will shine on them providing successful improvements we'd all like to see in the quality of their knives. It took the giants of the past a lot of years to achieve their success and a lot of kinks were worked out along the way.Again, nothing more than a thought. Dale H.

CRKT uses cheap steels outsourced from less than reputible countries. With that said, I still to this very day love the M-16/M-21 designs. If CRKT would upgrade their steel quality, I would absolutely invest in some of their knives. If Spyderco, BM and Kershaw can pull off high quality, so-called "low-end" knives (for you knife junkies who spend hundreds of dollars on customs) off for under $100, than CRKT could do the same. Their designs are on the right track, now they just need up the ante as far as quality.
