2008 forum knife

As many of you have heard me say on pervious posts on other threads, I prefer natural narley stag. I would have preferred ATS-34, a really good user stainless steel for an EDC. That said, I would want to see a larger 3-7/8 size stock knife with a thin master clip blade (similar to the Moremaker), spay, and sheepsfoot.

The top is a 4-1/4 stag MM, the bottom a 3-7/8 honey jigged bone MM. Both are 1095.

I voted for small stag, but will go with what ever we decide.

Canal street did a fine job selecting quality stag for our 2006 knife and I feel they will do everything they can to please us this time around. We all need to keep in mind quality stag comes at a price and it is rising constantly, but since we are ordering as a group the overall cost will be a very good one.

We got the 2006 ring knife in stag at less than 90 and I see the non BFC ones selling at prices higher than that (min 50 to 60 higher.)

Will there be a discussion on blade shapes?

I prefer a regular clip as the main blade
And a pen or spear instead of a spey.

There hasn't been so far, as I recall.
The main side discussion had been about a wharncliff blade in a trapper pattern.

If others are supportive, we could always put it to a vote.

Could we put it to a vote about blade options.

There has been a thread about the spey blade in the stockman, and there seems to be opinion about a spear or a pen.

And a regular clip and not a turkish clip is my personal preference.
