2008 Hog of the year Forum award(Annual)

See n00bs? That's how you do it before a Ganzaaaa. :p :D

No seriously... Amy is tops in my book every day.

OK...I took my contacts out and thought I saw B00bs...and then you would be on the Bad list....LOL

but THANK YOU really....but without you all we would be nothing...and to be honest the biggest HOG is JERRY BUSSE cause he was the one that got us all addicted to the INFI.....very SMART man:thumbup:

I hafta second the nomination for KnifeHunter. He's been sucking up everything available, but when he lets something go, he does so fairly. I KNOW he took a loss on the knife he sold me. Great guy...no question.

Steelnut's a class act as well. I'm good with either.

i would also vote knife hunter for this particular year thus far. ken, ban and a buncha others are integral parts to the current feel of the busse community - and all are awesome, but I think knife hunter hits all the categories at once better then anyone else.

well, since the forums are back up cause everyone quit f5ing:)

I appreciate the kind words and all and absolutely luv it here.

but my vote is for our friiends:D:thumbup:

Scotch, Vodka, Bourbon, Rum and Gin:eek::D

that got us here!;):D

oh and my email back was sent at 9:55:01pm:p:D

Lets drink to all us HOGS!

My personal vote would have to go to the following in no particular order:

Oldphysics: Level head wise old hog that is generous, caring, and just all around helpful.

Morimotom: Willingness to help others and Busse spokesperson on other forums to spread the knowledge without being pushy.

PaddlingMan: A all around perfect human being. Heck I liked the guy before I even met him in person.

Knifehunter: The current king of the trough and a straight shootin redneck :p

I am sure that there are many other fine hogs out there. The above are the ones that immediately come to my mind because I have either personally delt with them or met them.

I don't think that skill should be a criteria in judging a person. If that were the case then Hogwash would be on the $#!t list. JK! What the person does when others are not watching is really a more important criteria for me.

I cosign this entire post. I've had great experiences with all four of these guys, whether buying knives, or just asking for information and getting it. OP is the Socrates of this here subforum.

And Mark...I have some questions for you about your Lightfoots. I'll get at you about them sometime soon.

What the person does when others are not watching is really a more important criteria for me.

And this here is one of the tenets I use to guide my life. Word up, Ban.

nobody mentioned that PoorGuy from atl.???

i vote for shane
the biggest, most hospitable, generous, helpful guy over there in the usa

cheers
Arne ;)

I still say all the HOGs:thumbup:

But since this is still going I must say...

...mercmaster

PaddlingMan: A all around perfect human being.

Somewhere, my wife is laughing hysterically right now.:p

Thanks, guys. I appreciate the kind words. I'm not sure I always communicate my point accurately - I think things get lost in the internet translation pretty often.

If I start to compile a list? Geez... where to start. Going to Blade feels more like a family reunion every year. Knob Creek is like a semi-annual long weekend with good buddies. I'd have to sign off on everyone I've seen mentioned (except me :o) and add some folks I haven't seen like JimmyJones, Poorguy, Xaman, Gravelface, and RVO3VOM.

(Sorry, on vacation for a while and digging thru what I missed.)

I too was on vacation in Fla when this started. I have given it some thought and I agree with Jerry. I don't discount ANYONE that has been nominated, far from that. I know that I have dealt with people that certainly fit the bill. In fact, I haven't had a bad deal on any of my purchases in a year now. There's been a number of them. If you think about it, for the most part we are unknown to one another and we extend ourselves to someone who says "I'll take it" or I'll offer this opinion. This entire forum is a GREAT bunch of people who can be trusted and counted on. The knives certainly brought us here, but the people, that is why we stay. This is a fabulous place to chill and I appreciate all of you. There's my nomination.......EVERYBODY!
