2008 knifemakers calendar collaboration

I am posting this to see if any knifemakers would be interested in submitting there knife pics for a Custom Knifemakers calendar. I had the idea when i was at a bookstore and could not find any calendars that I liked. So being a knife nut, I thought it would be great to have a calendar with custom knives, and also have the bigger knife show dates, hammer ins, ect on the calendar.

Anyone can submit a pic or a date to add to the calendar. Also if you send a pic could you please put contact info, and info about the knife. So if someone sees the calendar and likes your knife they have a way to contact you (website, email, ect). Also I already found a calendar printer that is reasonable, and anyone can order a calendar directly from them. Also I would like to be able to have the calendar out within the next two weeks if possible (depending on response)

I'm Getting A good response so I need to set a deadline for picture submissions by December 7, 2007.

Also please email a high resolution pic, and include a brief statement that you give me premission to print you pic in the calendar.

Here is an Idea of what the calendar would look like, please email suggestions, comments, ect.

It's not a bad idea Wil.My wife has been making ours for several years and I give it out to my customers and friends.Dave:)
 
That would be great to see faces and blades at the same time.
Save one month to put a collage of newbs and our KSO's. 10 months for
the good stuff. Spit the page with two quality maker and blades
The last month should be Mete and Kevin in front of a blackboard
 
I'm getting some good pics so keep sending them in. I will post a preview of the calendar when it is done.

hey cool!!! I am getting my wife a new digital camera so this will be a good excuse for that. It will be around the end of Dec. before I can get you some nice shots witha good camera!!
 
sounds cool now i just have to get some nice shots of my knives
if anyone saw a knife that they might like to see batter pictures of drop me a line
 
If possible when you guys email me knife pics could you send the larger origianl Picture files, the small jpgs lose detail when they are enlarged. I really appriciate all the responce so far. So keep them coming. I think this will be a really nice calendar. Also you can also submit show dates to be added to the calendars.

I'll dig on my computer for the larger files I have now.....maybe what I have wil work for you :)
 
The files don't have to be gigantic, just a good quality around 300-500kb, the jpgs for surfing the net just don't look as good. Most of them are around 30-40kb in size.

Posted preliminary pic of calendar. I also wanted to add that I think it would be nice if the calendar could be knifemakers of Bladeforums calendar. So if anyone knows who, or how I might contact to see if I could use bladeforums name or logo on the calendar could you email me. I don't know if this is even possible. But If the calendar sold enough to make any money, I would gladly donate a percent of that to BF to support the site.
 
i will dig up some cool pictures. also an idea would be for the makers you pick to be put on the month of there birth day
