2008 Knifemakers Christmas Gift Exchange! (2nd Annual)

Those of you that are new to knifemaking. Please notice how many of these posts are from people that decided not to get in this last year. As I said, I think many of them wished that they had.

Scott, email sent. I'm glad you decided to run this again!!

I think everyone involves should send a buck or two to the Mrs. scottickesknives to cover postage,envelopes.......

and as a thank you,of course!!:)

Now, that isn't necessary. Thanks for the thought though. I think last year it ended up costing me about $17, for 29 knifemakers. I'd just email the information out, but my wife would have to send all of the emails out and I definitely don't want to push my luck! She only had to pull letters out of a hat last year and stuff them in the envelope, writing down the names on a checklist.

By the way, for those of you that are not in the U.S., last year we had a maker from Canada and a maker from Estonia involved.

I'm in. Last year I was also a little too intimidated, but this year I am going to go for it. Thanks for the effort you put into this Scott.

I see why I got a question of 2008 vs. 2009 now. I have the year wrong in the title. This is the 2008 gift exchange, not the 2009. Sorry for the confusion. Hopefully the moderators can change it.

Scott,

I am in! This sounds like a bunch of fun! I am a newby, but trying to learn quickly and competently. This will be a fun challenge for me.

Thanks!

I've got 19 "I'm ins" here on the thread, and only 11 emails so far. Please send your contact information to my email address, if you're one of the missing 8.

I'm thinking that just posting to this thread constitutes an "I'm in". I'm expecting your contact information in my email Stan.

Ok I'm in.

I guess if this won't force me to finish a few things and step up the quality, nothing will.
