2008 SE...Comp Blades

Tell you what guys! They all are sweet but I would have to agree, my favorite is the JACK HAMMER! It is a BAD MUTHA.....watch your mouth! I bought two of each but if I had to do it over, I would have bought 3 Jacks and 1 Hell. But I do like the magnum grips on the hellrazor better. I am pretty sure there are going to be some available during the upcoming Post Blade Ganza. The thing is, if you had been there you would have got the special offer, the more you buy the cheaper they got. Really awesome! BOSS HOG was "BRINGING IT" at Blade '08. YOU GOT TO GO NEXT YEAR!!! This was my 7th year in a row and I would not miss it for anything. I know of some of my Hog brothers that were really sorry they couldn't be there but sometimes it just can't be helped.

Man, I'll second that and add you got to go and stay at least 2 days. I could only make friday, and had I stayed for Saturday I'd have gotten a screaming deal on a comp finish sarsquatch, as I had already picked up the JH and HR.

On Saturday there were some deals on competition grade Busses but you had to buy a lot to get the best price. I already have coated Hell Razors and a Mud Razor so the Hell Razor wasn't on my list despite the wicked edge Jerry put on them. With a convex sabre grind, I thought the SARscuatch was a natural for the competition grade finish and I was right, it's sweet.

With my budget, I was waiting to see if there were competition grade SARscuatches and they finally came out on Saturday. My budget had already been severely stretched by a couple SE's so I was waffling over a SARscuatch purchase and OP convinced me.

The Jack Hammer was an interesting knife. The competition grade finish is cool and the Jack Hammer is kind of a limited release knife so I was willing to overlook it's TAC handle. Saturday night-err, Sunday morning Jerry convinced me to buy two of them.

All of the competition grade Busses were marked 2008 Special Edition but the other SE's were pretty cool. The Fusion Steel Heart SE was not a fatty, I didn't mic it but it looked slightly over 0.250" thick. The Fusion Battle Mistress SE was about the same thickness and full flat ground! I got the Battle Mistress to match my 2007 SE and all I can say is wow, I like it better than an LE.

I'd love to see the 'Hammer at a Ganzaaa, or even publicly offered, but I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't since it is the Les Baer Custom knife partner. I didn't think I'd ever see one apart from a 1911, but now that I see it's possible it may become one of my grail knives. Anyone want to part with one?

Its the Comp Squatch for me.

I 'll cut you comp HR and JH in half with my Squatch:):)
