just bend the clip back a bit it will be ok. these knives actually come with an extra pocket clip in case you mess up or need a spare.

not exactly.

the extra clip is for lefty carry.

i sanded down the g10 on both. the texturing was too aggressive combined with the clip tension.

The clip itself is not what I'm worried about. It's because they are screwed directly into G10 scales and the threads in the G10 might strip. Oh well, I'll never know until I'll try it. Thanks for the input.

The screws go through the g-10 slabes and into the aluminum spacer
 
Thanks to all who responded thus far, I am learning alot about the new Recon.

Morimotom - the first run of Lawmen did in fact have both liners and the Triad lock. I remember STR going on about the differences at length.
 
And if the lack of liners in the new Recon bothers anybody, the Voyager line to debut next spring will have full aluminum liners.
