2011 Discontinued List

Wow the byrd line took a big hit.. but I guess thats because a 2nd gen. of most of those models is coming out.

I guess spyderco is thinking the frn UKPKs are going to outsell the higher $ ones.

GLad the Pacific Salt isnt on the chop block. Im still undecided whether or not to get one..

Thanks, Paul. It makes sense. Titanium UKPK works for me or Carbon FIbre :D
 
Just ordered me an orange UKPK to keep the Caly3 company. The G10 Delica could be next. Or the Stretch. :confused:
 
When I first got that list from Jeff at Cutlery Shoppe I was surprised to see all the Stretch line being discontinued. I am not a big fan of that design but I was under the impression that it was a very popular model. I guess that below $120 they will go fast.
I finally pulled the trigger on a Phoenix for $108, I am so glad I waited till now to buy one. That one makes sense because sales were always slow.
The Chinook I have mixed feelings about, never really liked it and never really understood why they had to make 3 versions of it -maybe with a forth iteration on the way-... Does it have such a strong following that people will jump on every new version?
 
Oh no. Not the Orange Military and the foliage UKPK. There's no way I can grab both before they go. Does this mean production has stopped or that it will stop in 2011?

I think that when they put a model on the DC list that they have already stopped making them. They probably only have the stocks left.
