2011 NY/NJ Custom Knife Show - Experiences and images

Thanks Coop for the post and pictures. Wish I could have been there this year. The NYCKS is always a great venue. Amazing knives and great pictures.:thumbup::thumbup:

I am astounded at the beauty, complexity and intricacy of that old horseman's' knife. What a sumptuous example of cutartmanship. Your photography really reveals all the knives Presence. Thank you for sharing your passion.

Impressive work as always, Coop.
You continue to elevate standards of custom knife photography. IMHO, It would be impossible to overstate the importance of what you have accomplished in your years as a professional knife photographer. It's as if you put wings on every knife that passes under your lens - powerful wings that can carry these wonderful knives around the globe, inspiring and delighting all who see them.

^^^ Blush. Awww, shucks.

I'm thankful to ALL, for the praising comments and the views.

I'm doing it again in March. Even better. :D

AWESOME thread Coop!

Art Green is a virtual encyclopedia of antique and vintage knives. At the recent NCCA show in Marlboro, MA, I was chatting with Art and Howard Hitchmough about C. Gray Taylor's incredible AKI award winning "horseman's knife". Art then related how he had lent Mr. Taylor his antique knife so he could study the pattern. Art also mentioned holding C. Gray's version and it was easy to tell how excited Art was to be part of the whole process.

Art ALWAYS has an incredible plethora of knives/collectibles and fascinating knowledge to share.

Art Green and Tommy Clark are both great friends. I really appreciate Art lending me the antique knife to study. The "horseman" was a challenge, but well worth it.
