Most of us (I can't speak for all) know the alphabet, so that would be the simplest and most efficient way to mark the years.

That will take care of 26 years and by then the Chinese alphabet will probably have taken over anyway.

In China they have a huge number of alphabet letters, so.......no more worries.

The Alphabet would work... But there will be dots, some where... :) ...

We will find out soon... :D ;) :D

A pox on all DOTS!!!!

All we'll end up with is more mysterious dots in wrong places just like we've had it the past!!!!

Any Buck worker who wants to amuse himself and drive the collectors crazy can just add a dot somewhere (while rolling on the floor laughing, no doubt)!!!!!

DOWN WITH DOTS!!!!!

:D

Hey, I like dots! At my age I see them floating across my vision all the time. :)

What I do hope however, is that Buck continues to stamp the markings rather than laser etch them. I associate laser etching with off-shore production, no names mentioned.

Thanks for the laugh, APF!

One thing I know for sure is this......I will not buy a knife that is not stamped in the traditional way......not now, not ever.

No etchings. No lasers.

Buck can take that to the bank.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
