2012 AKA Show at Little Rock - start making your travel plans.

John, You and Scott are on the East (entrance ) wall. Yall's tables (beside each other)are seperate but close to others, because the wall makes an angle and two table fit. Close to me, if that tells you anything.
Thanks Lin, and yes, this tells me absolutely nothing:Dbut I'm still very much looking forward to doing this show:thumbup:!

Wherever you guys are I'll be sure to sneak away from my table when my wife isn't looking and check out your knives!

Roger Massey, Logan Pearce, Bill Miller, Lyle Schow, Ben Lane, are also in your neighborhood John. Dont worry, they are all well behaved. It's the ones over by Bruce that are the problem.:D

Gee thanks Lin. Spreading those nasty rumors about the group over by Bruce. I try to keep John and Ron under control, but it can be tough. We promise not to corrupt Bruce too much :D. Looking forward to it.

My table will be the one with a 30" blade two-handed bastard sword that's going in for the quench tomorrow morning. If it survives the dunk. Wish me luck. You never know when you need a sword with Cohea and his hawks nearby. He may attack.

Can't believe the lineup at this show!!!!

Yep - very impressive - glad you'll be part of it Scott.

I should be able to hold you off pretty good Scott with the 3 foot gunstock warclub I'll have there:eek:!!

Wow, I don't think I can get there from Walla Walla. Looks like I,ll need to fly in on Thursday or miss the Friday night Gala. What time is the Gala Friday night, and isn't that the makers competition also? Don't wanna miss that.

OK I,m good, Kaye found a swinging deal for early Friday afternoon arrival. See ya,all soon.

The Gala doors will be open at 5:30 I believe. I will be there by then and I know lots others will. This is where you will want to be on time arriving. There will be packets waiting on the table holders outside the Gala door with all pertinent information concerning the show, including your allotted tickets for the Gala itself. Any table holders not attending the Gala will find there information packets on their table Saturday morning. The makers' competition will be shortly after the door opens allowing time to get comfortable and choose your dining table for the evening before the knife judging. This is a rough layout of the schedule and procedure, but I will follow up with exact times, etc.

I am looking forward to the show and figured that I would put out a hotel recommendation. The show and the Double Tree hotel share the same parking and are on the River Walk where there are several restaurants etc. So, in the past couple of years I have had a table at the show I have parked my car on Friday and not moved it till the end of the weekend.

As far as the restaurants go I like the Chicago style pizza at Gusanos and if you are into beer The Flying Saucer offers hundreds of choices and food as well.

I am all set and really looking forward to the show. This is my favorite show of the year and am sure is year will be outstanding. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Jon
