2012 BF knive going back to GEC for "surgery"

I would suspect that the turn around shouldn't be any more than a couple of weeks at the most. If it's just to correct the blade wobble, then it shouldn't take much time at all, but if they have to wait for new parts to be tooled, you might be waiting a good while longer than two weeks.

I sent in a brand new #66 Serpentine Jack which was a lemon because of a faulty secondary spear blade (it also had a wobbly main blade). The turn around took about 2 months, but I believe that was only because they had to wait for new spear blades to be tooled. Now, back from the factory, the #66 is perfect in every way.

No replacement parts on mine. Just tighten up the Wharncliffe. Asked them not to sharpen or clean the blades either so it came back pretty much as it left minus the slight wobble. 2 weeks is way to optimistic if my experience is typical.

Yeah, mine is just a loose cover pin. I think Frank's theory is probably the case.

Yeah I won't complain either. At least not yet. If I did I would call to complain to them ;)

I have a drawer full of them and this is only the second knife I had to send back. I have fixed blade play myself though. Just a few out of the bunch.

If it became a habit to have to send back brand new knives then I would call with that complaint.

Heck, I just want my knife back :p

Not going to complain though! I starting to amass quite a few of their products! 14 at last count!
