I just received my new 2012 GEC in the mail yesterday, and I thought I would take my chances and see if I can trade it for a NIB/LNIB GEC 72 lockback folder, or for a NIB/LNIB NORTHFIELD UN-X-LD #62 SPRING GREEN JIG BONE (62 easy pocket courthouse whittler/3 blade congress).
The 62 must be the spring green jigged bone version with three blades, and there should be no blade rub. The 72 can be jigged bone, cocobolo, bocote, or ebony (as long as it has no blade or lock play and the blade is centered). I would love to get my hands on a blue jigged bone, or antique amber bone 72.
I'd prefer the 72 to be brand new, but if not, like new or barley used is okay. Either way, it must have absolutely zero blade play in any direction when locked open, and a centered blade when closed.
If the 72 is worth more than a newly shipped 2012 BF GEC traditional, then I would add cash. If it is worth less, then I would want the 72 plus the cash to equal the value of a brand new shipped 2012 BF GEC.
The knife is also for sale here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1006191-GEC-2012-Bladeforums-Traditional-Folder
